Under a new project called WICKED (Working with Infrastructure, Creation of Knowledge, and Energy strategy Development), funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the Oxford research team led by Professor Peter Grindrod from the Mathematical Institute is seeking to work with retailers to help them find more efficient ways of managing their energy consumption.
Professor Grindrod said: ‘We are looking for participants of all sizes, from small corner shops to big multinational retailers. We want to work with retailers, energy suppliers, business support groups, and energy advice companies to map the barriers to and opportunities for better energy management within the retail sector as a whole.’
