Empire seeks charge for energy efficiency
News-Leader, November 5, 2013OZARK — The Empire District Electric Company has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking approval of demand-side programs under the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act. Empire also seeks authority to establish a demand-side management investment mechanism.
Empire seeks approval to establish a charge on customer bills to recover demand-side management program costs and incentives. This would appear as a separate line-item on the monthly electric bill.
