Digging Deeper For Energy Savings in the C&I Sector
Gita Subramony for Zondits, April 21, 2014Zondits previously reported on how net zero energy buildings were a growing trend in the new construction sector. By using an integrated design process, building developers can construct buildings that go beyond energy code requirements and consume no more energy than they generate over the course of a year. But what about existing commercial or industrial buildings that want to go beyond the low-hanging fruit of lighting replacements? What are the best ways these facilities can dig deeper into energy savings? What can program administrators do to offer incentives to facilitate these projects?
At AESP’s Spring Conference, to be held in Baltimore from May 12‒14, Peter Serian, an engineer at ERS, will be presenting on achieving deeper energy savings in commercial and industrial facilities. He will outline strategies for incentive programs, including coupling strategic outreach with in-depth energy studies, to take energy savings to the next level.
If you’re going to the AESP Spring Conference, be sure to check out this presentation, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14. Zondits will also present a summary of the presentation at the conclusion of the conference.
