(Washington, D.C. April 15, 2014)—Cx Energy 2014, the only conference and expo that connects engineers, building owners, facility managers, and others engaged in building commissioning and energy management with manufacturers and energy services providers begins Monday, April 21 in Las Vegas.
Cx Energy is presented by ACG, the leading organization of certified, independent commissioning authorities. Supporting organizations are the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC), the world’s leading association of independent test and balance agencies, and the Energy Management Association (EMA), a new association dedicated to advancing the quality of energy management services for the benefit of the building owner. EMA’s organizational meeting on April 22 is one of Cx Energy’s many activities.
Managing and reducing energy consumption is more important for building and facility operators and service providers than ever. Cx Energy’s 28 educational sessions focus on key topics including Building Envelope/Enclosure Commissioning, Technology & Innovation, Energy Management, Commissioning Specialty Systems, Policy & Financial Issues, and more. The newly-created Energy Management Association (EMA) responds to the growing importance of managing and reducing energy consumption in buildings and the emphasis on the total building envelope. EMA membership is open to individuals, corporate suppliers of products and services, building owners and facility managers. Its mission is to provide guidelines, training, education and certification programs.
