Con Ed Program Rewards Restaurants for Making Energy-Efficient Improvements

Con Edison is serving up rebates to restaurants in New York City and Westchester County that use the energy supplier for electricity or natural gas when they install higher-efficiency lighting, heating and cooling systems, and other equipment.

In this article, David Pospisil, the program manager of the company’s Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency Program, outlines restaurateurs’ potential benefits through these incentives. In addition to the cash rebates, he said, the energy-saving measures allow restaurant owners to enjoy lower operating costs, higher employee productivity, and happier customers who return more often.
